From 1948 to 1954, the radio show "Let George Do It" was a popular post-war detective series.

The show starred Bob Bailey as George Valentine, a private investigator who took on cases that other people were too afraid to handle. While the show was not particularly groundbreaking, it was well-written and acted, and it quickly developed a devoted following.

In addition, the show's theme song, "You're Asking Me," became a huge hit, and it is still fondly remembered by fans today. Though "Let George Do It" ultimately went off the air after six years, it remains an important part of radio history.
