FATAL ROLLOVER ACCIDENT, CAMDEN TEXAS, 09/02/22...

Rollover Accident is Fatal, CAMDEN, September 2, 2022 - At approximately 4:35 pm on September 2, 2022, the driver of a white 2002 Mercury Grand Marquise, was west-bound on FM-942. For some reason, the driver left the pavement to the right, then over corrected to the left, left the pavement again as the vehicle slid sideways and rolled. The vehicle rolled and came to rest at the edge of the woodline at 942 and 219 Bennett Drive. Constable Mike Nettles was the first emergency responder on the scene. Troopers Johnny Wilkerson, Lindley Clark, Sean Barnes, and Sergeant Sam Lattner, all with the Texas Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene. The victim apparently died at the scene moments after the crash. Justice of the Peace, Jamie Richardson filed an inquest at the scene. A first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home transported the victim from the scene (name being withheld pending notification of relatives). The vehicle was recovered by Clifton Chevrolet out of Corrigan. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
