Okay, I got excited when I saw the peanut butter. By the time I got to the mustard, I just went for the familiar brand without double checking... I was genuinely shocked at how much I paid. - No, had I checked, there's no way I would have paid that.

Cancelled the mustard.

$9.91 for 240 grams of Heinz Yellow Mustard?

Couldn't do it.

Tried to order 2 or 3 other mustards, but you have to buy them in 2's or 3's.

I'll try holding out and work my way through "my supermarket's" selection.

Why this episode?

I can't recall if it was a joke or just a general sentiment I stumbled across, but apparently, the Cuban attribute of respecting elders seems to strike other latin groups as absurd or humorous.

Maybe it's just respecting FEMALE elders that strikes them as amusing. - If I recall correctly, I believe they DID specify "Abuelita".

So...if displaying respect for your own society is a particularly Cuban attribute...
