IllumiGnosis Lightstream: Reincanation: Real, or Woo?

The Pythagoreans called it "the transmigration of the soul." Most of of us know it as reincarnation. Having its roots in Eastern antiquity, reincarnation is one of the most widespread concepts in metaphysics and spirituality. But...is it real.

This question may be unaswerable. Science has little to offer on the subject, aside from scorn and derision. We have gathered some solid evidence that consiousness survives death, and that it is not generated by the brain. We will start there tonight.

The belief of millions, perhaps billions, whether lay person or robed monk, is absolutely irrelevant to this conversation; people believe all sorts of ridiculous and contradictory things. Belief is the death of intelligence. For the purposes of this lightstream we are only interested in objective reality. And proofs of reincarnation are non-existent. Period.

There are, however some very interesting cases wherein people have been able to recount very specific information that was verifiable. Some of these people even had physical deformities or birthmarks that were consistent with injuries that occured during their alleged past lives. Although these stories are very compelling, they do not constitute proof. At all. I will explain why tonight.

Many people report experiences of reliving previous lives on ayahuasca and other psychedelics. We will talk about why we should maybe take the possibilty of discovering past lives utliazing these medicines.

Finally, there is my own experience. There was a two year period during which my dialogue with the Universal Mind included revelations of my own past life. I could remember word for word the works of this person. I had the same philosophies, interests, habits, and patterns, down to the minutae. I even encountered other characters from this former life in their present incarnation that were able to answer questions that only they would know. Or, rather, that their former incarnations would. Random stranggers have recognized this person in me at least a dozen times.

And yet...I'm still not convinced. Join me tonight for an examination of reincarnation throught the lenses of both science and spirit.
