In a virtual news conference, federal Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos makes an announcement concerning COVID-19 vaccination as the respiratory virus season approaches. He is joined by Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, and Dr. Laura Sauvé, infectious disease specialist with the Canadian Pediatric Society. The announcement follows Health Canada’s authorization of the Moderna bivalent vaccine, which targets the Omicron BA.1 variant of the virus.
