FEMA announced that the agency is stepping in to provide water to Jackson MS after news of the city's water crisis broke. Jackson MS has no water after recent flooding has damaged the city's water treatment plant, as well as the pipe system.
Deanne Criswell, an administrator for FEMA spoke on the crisis stating, 'Our biggest role right now is their immediate needs, right? Their immediate needs are making sure that we can get bottled water to the communities so they have safe drinking water, as well as provide temporary measures to restore the pressure, right?'
