New album announced by Todd Rundgren.
Todd Rundgren's first new album in five years, Space Force, will be released overseas on October 14. It is released by Cleopatra Records.
This is his first studio album release since 2017's White Knight.
The album features collaborations with The Roots, Sparks, Steve Vai, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, Split Ends and other Neil Finn, King Crimson and other Adrian Belew, Thomas Dolby, The Lemon Twigs, and more! and collaborations with a variety of artists.
Unlike his previous album, "White Knight," which Lundgren wrote primarily on his own, "Space Force" consists mostly of songs written by others; in an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock, he said, "Almost all the songs came to me as demos that were never finished. So, I'm not going to write them for "Space Force. So I think it's safe to say that the songs on Space Force are songs that you would never have heard unless I had altered them in some way," he said.
The album also includes "Your Fandango," a collaboration with Sparks that was released as a single in 2021.
