Bridesmaid's (Wisdom) Faith. (Matthew 25:1-13)

Sometimes you need to look back to see the way forward. This is true in the day to day life of needing to recall places where GOD has met us when we struggle and wane to hold to HIM all the more. Faithful then, Faithful Now, Faithful always! Because HE is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. There is almost a confusing simplicity to it. Simply believe. "Well, how?!" How does one have any kind of relationship. Starts with talking. I think it was Paul who said something about just believing that HE is listening and cares to hear is an act of defiant faith. It's saying, "I may not know, but since when is 'knowing' in the human description. There are some things we may not get to know until later after all. There are some things we may not be meant to know but others are. [Which kinda circles back to that whole GOD made us for others not ourselves thing.] It's not trying to be a smartarse in any form. It's this odd beauty that I have been getting shown and blessed to see more and more and have to share more and more; there is darkness in this world, yes, but there is so much beauty, and hope, and joy, and such tenderness that one can hardly believe let alone convey. Like waking from a dark-dream, a nightmare of pain and sadness where hope is a dark comedy and joy a violent tune to a place of seeing colour and light for the first time. Like hearing a song that is new every morning and yet ancient as before time began. Like being made alive. Really alive! Where there is hope because there is HIM. Where there is Joy because there is HIM. Where there is life because of HIM! The only way to have it, feel it, be in it, is in relationship. Putting down our boxes, our ideas, our ways of telling God who HE is and instead letting HIM direct it, HIM show where the feet go. Where we are able to move and act and breath and live giving GOD our hearts, our beings, and our very muchness.

In today's section we see 10 virgins, bridesmaids, (those who are set apart and meant to be pure) who are waiting for their Bridegroom; as we wait for ours. They fall asleep in the waiting, and boy hadn't the church for a minute there, and they are all woken up. Those who had enough oil, who held to the WISDOM (meaning the kind of James 1:5, reshape us wisdom that when listened to is the more real thing you will ever find, see, or experience) Wisdom like HIS promises, knowing who HE is, burning brightly for their master to see. As we too are cities on a hill meant to shine brightly for all to see just how good our DADDY is! (Matthew 5:14-16)

All of this is only done through relationship. Talk to HIM. Get to know HIM. Read the Word and let it read you. Because it is a living breathing thing. And HE wants us. HE wants us to want HIM. Isn't that the nature of every relationship through? Real, true, deep, intimate, mature relationship. To see and to be seen. Then why not turn to The ONE who sees us. Putting down the shows, the farce, the fear. I mean it's going to maybe sound odd but if you know then you know, go back to the Garden. Just like the Tent of Meeting was an understanding of coming into that place with HIM. Invite HIM in and lay it all out, HE already knows, you can't hide it from HIM because HE knows us better than we do. Knows you better than you do, and just be there, before HIM, naked in your heart. Nothing false, no airs, nothing but the pure spark that HE put there, let HIM set it ablaze, let HIM light the fire again, anew, keeping you burning bright and having that bright burning light drive back the darkness because the darkness cannot put IT out, cannot put HIM out; we hold to this truth: GOD IS Greater. Because HE IS I AM; we get to share the fruits of the relationship and invite others into one as well. Not arguing over when to stand or sit or when to sing and, hell not arguing at all. Talking to each other, as brothers and sisters, as neighbors, as friends. We are made for love by The ONE Who IS the source of all love. We are made for others, not ourselves, we are made for HIM. It all comes down to relationship. Get into the WORD, get HIM in you: Invite HIM in and stay in The Word because anything and everything else is hevel; why not go to The ONE who gives all things their true meaning and not just the B.S. we assign.

I'll leave this down here with one, maybe tactlessy, question: "If you know you can't do it alone, why are you bullshitting yourself in thinking you have to when HE is right there; where you were, where you are, and where-ever you will be.
