If you want to know how many rounds do you have to knit for your project is best to find the GAUGE. Each circular knitting machine (20 needles, 40 needles, 46 needles, 48 needles, or any # needles you may have) can have a different gauge using the same yarn; and it will have a different gauge for different tensions (loose, moderate, tight) that you use.
You can make a Gauge Swatch and find your gauge, or you can use a project that you made already with that yarn and machine (hat, scarf, headband), and calculate your gage on it.Show more
