Claire Miller had intrusive thoughts about harming herself. She complained to her friends about it and they tried to help her but it wasn't enough.

One night as she was getting ready for the school day, the intrusive thoughts started coming again, this time she was determined to beat it, but before she realized it - she opens her eyes and realizes her sister is dead and she killed her. It was unintentional, according to Claire but the prosecution painted a different story of a murder obsessed young girl.
