Long Songs Running

Through the Sixties and Seventies radio stations and record labels were in cahoots with each other that hit songs had to be 3 minutes long or less... that a song that clocked in at 6 or 7 minutes would never make it as a hit and that was that... Richard Harris blew that canard out of the water in the Sixties and Queen blew it out again in the Seventies. So did Harry Chapin, but he isn't a part of this segue. So we go for the long play today on the Segue City Special...enjoy!

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... Member FDIC.. Licensed drivers only. This offer is void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not and where is Alec? We could insert a joke here but it would be as good a joke as Alec is...

This feature is a four-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award. Yes, we just won again.
