I had to mute the music in the game for this footage, which is a shame, because the music is pretty good, but content ID does not like it.

Remakes/Reboots may all be the rage in today's gaming, but Midway was way ahead of the curve, re-inventing almost all of their classic Williams/Midway Arcade games like Spy Hunter, Area 51, Mortal Kombat, Arctic Thunder, L.A. Rush, and Etc, as well as releasing new IUPs like PSi Ops, and The Suffering.

Defender is another re-imagining of Midway's fist big arcade hit, and even though I've never gotten very far into the game, I still really like this game. It's a mission-based flight game, and a solid one that mixes elements from the classic game, like rescuing hostages, and the enemy types. The game runs smoothly, and plays well. Again, I haven't gotten too far into it, but I still have always liked this defender reboot. Check it out on the PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube if you get the chance. Smooth playing, fun game.

Note: I am using the RetroTink 2X to upscale this footage. #Defender #PS2 #Gameplay
