Obsidian rocks from Little Glass Mountain - Medicine Lake Highlands Volcanic Area - Scenic Mt Shasta

Short walk alongside the foot of Little Glass Mountain in Medicine Lake Highlands Volcanic Area, east of Mt Shasta, California. With impressions of black obsidian rocks that form the mountain.

Little Glass Mountain is a few miles west of the better known, and bigger, Glass Mountain which I showed in a previous video.

"Glass Mountain is a spectacular, nearly treeless, steep-sided rhyolite and dacite obsidian flow that erupted just outside the eastern caldera rim and flowed down the steep eastern flank of Medicine Lake volcano."
