Shoes For Kids Event Raises Over 256 Shoes And $13,000 In Cash - August 29, 2022 - Micah Quinn
The numbers are in from the Shoes For Kids YQL shoe drive which took place on Saturday. The event was a huge success. The shoes will go to city families of Grade One to 12 students in need along with students in the Kainai and Piikani reserves. Members of the Lethbridge Police Service, The Watch, Alberta RCMP, RCMP Piikani, and the Blood Tribe Police Service volunteered to help collect the shoes during the event. Monica Cove, the Board President for the organization says there was a big haul of shoe donations and cash during the event.
