Katrina Learns to Drive the RV - Finding Camping in TX is Hard - Animals at the Zoo in NM!

Katrina has wanted to learn to drive our home, aka, our RV for long time. Actually, "wanted" may be a strong word; "possibly willing" would be a better term... Tensions ran a little high as she got behind the wheel and we took to the roads; got mildly annoyed with each other for a second there. Being in a student/instructor role as partners can be stressful it turns out!

Once we got to our camping spot, we got a lot of work done and spent a little too much time hanging out if you ask me. Katrina started doing some research about where we could go to camp when we got to Texas, and she found it can be tough to find actually, with Texas having no Federal public lands, which is one of the common places we might use. Instead, she found limited options, but one of the ones she did find was suspiciously attractive. There was a city run place with free camping and full water, power, and sewer. Weird!

We got "trailer fever" and decided it was time to make a decision about what we should do next, other than sitting in the trailer.

We found there was the Carlton, New Mexico zoo only about a 20 minute ride from us, so made plans to go there in the next couple days. Once at the zoon, we found animals, lots and lots of animals; birds, big cats, and "hoofstock".

I also threw in some shots of some epic sunsets and plant life.
