Here is a healthy CINNAMON ROLL RECIPE for the cinnamon lovers.
The Dough:
2c whole wheat flour (240g)
1c oat flour (100g)
1/2 tsp salt
1c milk (dairy or non-dairy) (240ml)
1 packet instant dry yeast (7g)
1tbsp agave, maple syrup or honey
1tbsp unsweetened applesauce
1egg or flax egg
The Filling:
3/4c dates (100g)
1/2c hot water (120ml)
1tbsp ground cinnamon
The Glaze:
1/3c coconut milk or coconut cream (80ml)
1tbsp honey
1/2tsp vanilla extract
These rolls have only 174 calories, fat 3.1g, carb 32.2g, protein 4.9g per roll - with no glaze. Without glaze they have even less calories - 153, fat 1.6g, carb 30.4g, protein 4.7g
Just remember to mix the yeast with lukewarm milk and let the dough rest for the yast to work.
