The NASA Artemis 1 launch was scrubbed Monday. Fuel leaks have forced NASA to scrub the launch of its new moon rocket on a no-crew test flight. WESH2 reported.

The decision came shortly after a NASA official warned that the agency still had a "lot of work" to do to get to a point where it could launch the rocket following fuel leaks and a possible crack discovered during final liftoff preparations.  Fox News reports.

If the rocket launches during its two-hour window scheduled for Friday, its mission will last 42 days and return on Oct. 11, according to CNN. If not, the next launch window is scheduled for 90 minutes on Monday, Sept. 5, which would result in a return on Oct. 17. People Magazine reported.
