I was two years old at the time of World War II. I was repatriated from Taiwan with my parents, older brother and older sister after the defeat of the war.

I have lived my life (indirectly) with a sense of remorse that Japan was one of the Axis Powers that caused the world war. I learned from history that Hideki Tojo was hanged for a terrible war crime.

However, two years ago, during the rigged U.S. presidential election and the declass in the Corona pandemic, I learned a lot of truth. And at the same time, about the Pacific War and Japan's divided government after the war.

All my previous beliefs were turned upside down. It was a shock, but I accepted.
