The way we are using the idea of safe space is that we find places where we are comfortable in addressing and acknowledging the uncomfortable and upsetting things in our life. The SJW definition is one of getting away from upset and trauma while the way we are using it here is a way to confront and deal with troubling issues. Please know we are not talking about stuffed animals, soft music and kool aid.
