Psalm 91:7

Psalm 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

The "pestilence that walks in darkness" and the "destruction that wasteth at noonday", those are what God is referring to that shall not come near us. They both can be summed up in one word... Death. So this promise of God assures that those who trust him, will not see death.

This promise is fulfilled in Christ. He said: John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall *never see death.*

Indeed, it shall not come near us for *In him*, we are ressurected (he is The ressurection) from our dead state (Eph 2:1) never to see death again. i.e. never to be separated from God.This is a present reality.

But... won't we die one day? Physically yes... but spiritually, in him, NEVER. Cause death, true death, not the shadow of death it (Physical death), but the reality of it, is separation from God. And when we are in Christ Nothing has power to separate from him.. not even the shadow of death.

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, *shall be able to separate us* from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
