That brings me to one of the last things that you can do within Google
and that adds your products and services individually. So on the Info tab,
you can, in your description, say what you do, but they actually give a
products area and a services area. So if you're a service-based business,
you can go in and add each of the services that you offer to put in your descriptions, you can do a price or price range or I believe leave the price off. The same thing for products. You can add individual products. You can add groups of products. You can add categories to your products.
The real advantage of this is when people are searching with their phones,
they actually get a more detailed listing than if they're looking on a desktop.
So if you guys are, like me, you live on your desktop and you look at everything on your desktop and then you switch to looking at your business profile on your phone, you're going to see a lot of differences. And one of the biggest things is that if you have services or products, you'll get a service or product or both, tab on the phone, and people can actually shop what you have without ever going to your website. Google has made this profile robust enough that a lot of people never go to my website. They call me directly from Google. I can always tell I ask how people found me. But I can always tell if they have visited my website or not by asking them a few questions.
And then they'll say, oh, really, I just was in your Google profile and decided to give you a call. So I can tell you it really does work.
