The Gift of Life

1. Imago Dei – The Image of God
• Every human who was, is, and will be was made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26-28)
• Adam and Eve are the original image bearers of God, from whom our earthly family tree comes.
• God is Spirit. Our soul and conscience has Gods attributes.

2. The conception of LIFE
• What does God’s Word say about it?
• Psalms 51:5 – I was sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
• Psalms 139:13-16 – “For you formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb…”
• There is no doubt what the Bible says, that God is active in shaping and forming children in the womb.

3. God’s Plans
• God has plans and purpose for the unborn. (Jeremiah 1:5)
• Christians must continue the fight for children who God already has a purpose for.
• Our fight does not stop at the womb. We must be influential figures in the hearts and minds of young people.
• We must walk beside them in their walk with Jesus.
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppresses. Take up the case of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
(Isaiah 1:17)
