This hard drive has issues

A typical hard drive has a rotating disc, those rotating discs are spun by an electric motor. The motor has bearings and then bearings wear out.

When a hard drive is built it typically is ran for so many hours before it is packaged. This is the quality assurance portion of manufacturing. The issue with this hard drive is when the motor heats up due to normal operation, it expands which causes the discs to shift out of position. You can tell that they are out of position by the read write arm getting stuck on the disc and grinding against the disc.

This is pretty common with western digital blue 4 terabyte hard drives but it can happen to any hard drive.
