Normal People Would NOT Buy This Truck, But I'm Not Normal

For the better part of a year Jack and I have been working on his first truck and not making much progress. Between GM engineering and old school thinking, getting the 6.0 LS engine out of this GMC 2500 has not been an easy task. I thought I could pull the engine, transmission and transfer case as a single unit. Well turns out GM didn't like mated engines and transmissions coming out together. That set the entire extraction up for failure from the beginning. I had to buy and borrow a lot of equipment and Harbor Freight was frequently visited. Dad's shop had a lot of engine removing equipment, but none of it was folding so I got rid of it when he died.

Patti comes in at the end to give her take on the whole situation. Plus stick around to the end for a bit of extra content.
