The 2021 NC Faith & Freedom Salt and Light Conference was held at Temple Baptist Church in Mount Airy, NC on Saturday, September 25th. Pastor Penny Maxwell of the Freedom House Church in Charlotte, NC.

Penny leads Freedom House Church alongside her husband Troy, partnering with him to serve in a balanced yet dynamic way. Penny is outgoing, animated, and fun-loving, infusing energy and fresh perspective wherever she goes.

Freedom House Church was in the headlines this month for telling its members they won’t be following Mecklenburg County’s recently passed mask mandate on churches, mosques, synagogues, and others places of worship. Maxwell said the church was prepared to defend their religious exemption in court.
