John Piper is chancellor at Bethlehem college and seminary and the founder of Desiringgod.org, and is the lead teacher there to this day. He has also served as Bethlehem Baptist Church's senior pastor for 33 years. Born in Tennessee in 1946, his family moved to Greenville, South Carolina, as a child, where he grew up. John studied at Wheaton College, Fuller Theological Seminary, and the University of Munich, where he received his doctorate in theology. After receiving his doctorate, he taught at Bethel College for six years. His accomplishments for Christ are over 50 books and a lifetime of teaching and preaching the Word of God.
