How To Feed Sourdough Starter | Natural Leavening
Feeding your sourdough starter is so simple yet so rewarding. There is a bit of a commitment when using sourdough starter. I feed my sourdough starter daily with just a small amount of hard stone ground whole wheat flour and water. Keeping your sourdough starter in the refrigerator is a requirement too. Once your sourdough starter is healthy and well established you can make some of the most delicious bread. Sourdough starter provides your bread with natural digestive enzymes that provide your gut flora with healthy bacteria which makes digesting bread much easier on system. Sourdough starter also provides you with ready to go natural leavening at any moment for quick and easy bread making.
