Disgusting! People react to Edinburgh rubbish chaos as bin strike takes hold. Bin chaos which has made Edinburgh resident's lives a misery has spread across Scotland, as refuse collectors in other major cities including Glasgow and Dundee join the strike. The industrial action has made Edinburgh an 'international embarrassment' as rubbish has piled high (pictured) whilst the city hosts the Fringe Festival. From today, staff at 13 local authorities, including Glasgow, Dundee, and Aberdeen, will join those in Edinburgh and strike over a pay dispute. Trade unions were offered a 5% pay rise, but this was described as an 'insulting' amount in the face of the cost of living crisis.
