MY BANNED TEDX TALK

Over 3 months ago I was asked to do a TedX Talk on the topic of my advocacy work to combat child trafficking and exploitation. The moment I left the TedX stage, I was met with standing ovation. I say that only to point out that it was incredibly well received and yet TedX has flagged the video of my speech as a "political agenda”of some sort. They said, “some may find it objectionable”. If telling the facts and sharing truth about child trafficking and exploitation is “political” or violates TedX’s guidelines, then I’m grateful for the opportunity to have broken through to the live audience despite the online censorship. I have a question for all of you: Do you find my speech objectionable or do you find TedX’s conduct objectionable? Keep in mind In 2018, at a TedX event in Germany, Mirjam Heine presented a talk entitled, “Why Our Perception Of Pedophilia Has To Change.” In the talk, she states, “Pedophilia is an unchangeable sexual orientation just like heterosexuality,” and, “it is our responsibility to reflect and overcome our negative feelings about pedophiles and to treat them with the same respect we treat other people with.” That video was removed to do public backlash. So TedX is apparently okay with spreading that disgusting, harmful propaganda but not with sharing the truth about how we can keep children safe? The only people who should be offended by my talk is pedophiles and groomers. Our children deserve so much better. That’s why I’ll continue standing up for them.

I’d like to say that my TedX appointed Coach and the local organizers do not share the same views as TedX content regulators regarding my talk. I believe this talk should be heard. Please help share it if you agree.
