Raising chickens is one of the easiest livestock to start out with. We have been raising chickens since 2018 and recently we want to become more self-sufficient in replenishing our flock. We have had great success with our incubators and are now trying to focus on a more natural approach. We are allowing our broody hens to raise their own chicks. We often hear using broody hens is so much easier than raising chickens using an incubator. But is it really? Today I am going to talk to you about our first year of attempting to use broody hens.
