The Cow Catcher For Wrestling Pins & Jiu-Jitsu Submissions

The Cow Catcher is a powerful wrestling move used to takedown and pin an opponent from the front headlock position. But it is also versatile enough to be used as a throw, reversal and even as a submission in Jiu-Jitsu and of course you can find it well documented in Catch Wrestling where you can both pin and submit.

In the study we look at the various positions the Cow Catcher technique can be used and how it can be chained together with the cement mixer if the Cow Catcher is defended.

One thing I have learned is depending on the region this move can be called any number of names, from a Cement Job, Snake, Whip Over, Brands, Iowa, Pancake, Half Halch and Gator Bacon. But Chael Sonnen will insist that it is called a Death Grip...
