How do you tell a story about censorship and misinformation? Or the censorship of information? What is it exactly we are discussing? To censor is to cut, delete, redact, expurgate, bowdlerize, and sanitize. It is an edit. What is mis-? Wrongly, badly, unsuitably, negative force. The last term is information, and it is the loaded and manipulated part of all of this. Two significant factors stand out: 1) who determines what is wrong or bad or unsuitable and to which standards? And 2) How can those standards be applied to a general conceptualization of information?

Once Twitter began the purge, many moved to Parler, but this was considered a honeypot, as it was immediately removed from app stores and was restructured. Many who were involved in 1/6 were also moving to Parler, Gab, Anonup and other social media alternatives, along with video sites like Bitchute, Rumble, Rofkin, Odysee and so on. Eventually Gettr emerged to compete with Twitter.

Personally, Americanhardmind was shadowbanned on Instagram starting June 2020, on Twitter due to use of Telegraph, txt.fyi, and Bitchute around the same time, and both Americanhardmind and Synchronicity were suspended from Linktree for the same offenses in December 2021. We aren't even sure if it's content-based, but luckily we only have a few followers.
