The Most Hawkish Speech Powell Has Ever Given!

Jerome Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole Symposium today is the single most hawkish position I've ever seen the Federal Reserve Chairman make. In fact twice during the speech Powell evoked Paul Volcker, the most hawkish Fed Chair to ever occupy the position. Powell's message today is clear. The much anticipated "Fed Pivot" is still a long ways off and there is more economic pain ahead for Americans, all in the name of fighting inflation.
