Russia's Defence Ministry on Friday claimed that its forces had destroyed a US-made M777 howitzer gun that was used by Ukraine to shell the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. The howitzer was destroyed west of the town of Marganets, in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, the ministry added. The Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant has come under fire several times in recent weeks.
