Then, in the Ripped from the Headlines segement, Andrew and Jerry talk about President Biden's announcement regarding student loan forgiveness and what it really means from a policy standpoint. Which is the bigger question... the legality of the announcement, the lack of focus on the real problem with student loans, or how it makes the problems worse? They also relate this to the issue of medical debt (and other forms of debt).

Bound up in this is a debate over the future of the Republic - can it be saved, or has it already been lost, and just what this all means for the mid-term elections. What should Republicans be focusing on going into 2022 and 2024, and how should they strategize?

Finally, some fun talk about new shows - Jerry revisits his appraisal of whether the original Top Gun holds up, they talk about the Clint Eastwood comedy, "Every Which Way But Loose", and offer some thoughts on the new Game of Thrones series, "House of the Dragon".
