The Black Rock pride of lions feast on a buffalo in the afternoon sun.
The five Black Rock lion brothers were still moving with their maternal pride at this time, helping them take down large prey like this buffalo. Soon after the pride returned to the Black Rock area leaving the five males to take over the Rongai region of the reserve.
This buffalo was caught in the middle of the day, unfortunately at that time Yuda and I were collecting a guest at the airstrip but at least we got to see the lions feast on their buffalo prize - a pretty epic way for the guest to start their stay!
