From parents to school teachers, from social media to peers, from marketing campaigns to comments of random strangers young people grow up with various levels of influencers in their life. We all do, we all have and we all are influencers on some level.

No one escapes this life without have been influenced. No one manages to slide through in total isolation. When we think back to the people who held influence in our lives, we often make statements such as “Your kindness truly impacted my life.”

We also know people who have been bullies, or they have been bullied and just the hurtful words alone have left scars, like emotional bruises, on the hearts of victims. Impact.

In many ways, the unseeable energy in relationships is a powerful form of influence which leads to great impact.

INFLUENCE has a risk factor. As an influencer, you risk creating and exacerbating relationships you are not seeking. (This is how powerful and charismatic people end up in adulterous affairs.) This risk goes the other way as well, the risk of being influenced can lead to abuse, manipulation and coercion.

Trust me when I say, if you DO THE THINGS NEED TO GROW YOUR INFLUENCE you cannot help but make an impact in peoples lives. The question is this: will you be a good manager and leader of that influence and impact or will you use that influence strictly for your own gain?

Establish your INTENTION to do good, to add value, to influence well before you grow your influence to the level of impact.
