Laser Engraved Diya LED lamp

Laser engraved Diya LED lamp was the idea we had when Aditi's parents visited us this summer. We wanted to make something special for her mother. We also wanted to try out our new Laser engraver. We wanted to learn how to create a 3D effect on a project that is gradually decreasing in depth. Typically, Diya is an oil lamp with a cup in the middle to hold oil and a notch for the wick. We attempted to mimic the same using a grey scale that would gradually deepen for each petal of the Diya. At the pointy end of the petal, we placed LEDs mimicking the lit wick. This is not only a Diya for the temple but can be used as a night light. We can imagine making this Laser engraved Diya LED lamps in a variety of shapes, sizes, and patterns. We are having a lot of fun designing and making different things with our Laser engraver. Here is the link to our Monport Laser engraver https://bit.ly/3qL49ev.
