Russia claims forces 'downed Ukrainian fighter jets' over Kharkiv region

RUSSIA claims its forces have downed Ukrainian fighter jets flying over the Kharkiv region using anti-aircraft missiles.

In this footage from the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD), rockets are fired into the sky and explosions burst on the ground of alleged targeting computer footage.

A statement from the MoD said: "Over the last 24 hours, Russian air defence weapons downed a SU-27 fighter jet near Barvinkove in the Kharkiv region and six drones near Mali Prohody, Kapitolivka and Balakliia in the Kharkiv region, and Shiroke in the Donetsk People's Republic."
