3 THINGS THAT WILL DESTROY YOUR NEW YEAR.
1. Too much focus on current circumstances and comparison.
2. Too much focus on the mistakes or misses of the past. (Failure mindset)
3. Too little focus on the truth of your destiny and the story you tell yourself.
Instead let me encourage you to take some time over the next 36 hours to make a list of all the things you had considered, imagined, planned, wished or tried to accomplish in 2019.

Using this complete list, isolate those things which were accomplished from those which were not.

Looking first at the list of things which were accomplished take a moment to be filled with gratitude. Out beside each accomplishment on the list make note of all the other accomplishments which happened because of or in conjunction with this success. Now write a list of all the people who helped you to reach this accomplished success.

Next, looking at the list of uncompleted accomplishments, ask your which ones still matter? Was it an idea whose time has passed? Do I still care to see this happen? How much emotional energy will I need to invest to achieve this? Is it worth it? If you cannot see investing any more time, money or emotion in this idea - SCRATCH IT OFF THE LIST!

What remains will be the accomplishments set before you for 2020.
Now look at your great successes of the last year or the last decade. Match them up with the accomplishments in your sights 2020. Chances are, the same energy, effort and connection which brought success before will bring success again. Be clear on your emotional attachment to these accomplishments. Be clear on your reasons behind them.

CHANGE YOUR STORY
It’s time to stop repeating the current circumstances. The primary reason you are is because you are letting the circumstances tell your story. They may be you story for now, but they need not be your story for next.
It’s time to stop repeating in your head the list of misses, mistakes and failures. Again, these inform your reality and your emotions and they will detail any future accomplishments.

Finally, begin to remind yourself EVERYDAY of the successful accomplishments of the past which match the ones which lie ahead. Use the energy and relationships of your previous triumphs to create momentum and write the story of a better future.
