I look at early audience reviews of Star Trek: Picard on both Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. There are a couple of main opinion camps, and plenty of passion in both directions. Some would like to see a faithful modernization of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and some would prefer more of a deliberate deconstruction of that material. Your mileage may vary!
