There is a first time for everything and tonight I experienced my first brownout in the Philippines! Thankfully, I was surrounded by the fine people at Mommy Asay Homestay in Surigao del Norte who kept me company AND even made dinner for me while waiting for the lights to come back on.

These folks were splendid hosts and I couldn't have asked for more. What a wonderful place to spend several days with my love beyond the sea!
