The Saints Row reboot recently released to... middling to negative reviews. Some scathing reviews note the bland, dull and drab open world environment, the flat, one-note characters and uninteresting gameplay that lacks significant impact for the cool response to the game. The title apparently deviates from the elements of the original entries in the series that satiated the hardcore fans that made it the success it was. Doesn't sound like a sensible strategy from the developers.
