Themroc (Claude Faraldo, 1973)

Themroc, bored of the everyday drudgery and abusive class system to which he is seemingly bonded decides to revert to primal savagery and break free from the bonds of an oppressive capitalist system. First of all comes disobedience at work, a little cunnilingus and then it's back to his condemned tenement which he shares with his elderly mother and clinging, half naked sister for a little d.i.y.

After walling himself into a single room he busts the wall open into the communal yard and hurls all of his property into the street below. Somewhat stimulated by all of this excitement his neighbour decides to come over and spend the night with him, deserting her family and browbeaten husband.

The next day she leads them in revolt and they smash down the walls and throw out their belongings although hubby seems intent on keeping at least a couple of his possessions.

The police arrive and riot gas is thrown but Themroc and his neighbours just seem to be inhaling the fumes and then have sex. Themrocs sister comes back and they engage in biblical pursuits as the establishment looks on.
