Chicago Bears Rumors & News leading up to NFL Preseason Week 3 of Bears vs. Browns as Bears Now host Harrison Graham brings you today’s top Bears headlines.
- Mike Gesicki Trade to Chicago? The Dolphins’ TE is reportedly on the NFL Trade Block according to PFF as he’s struggled with his blocking in Mike McDaniel’s system in Miami. Gesicki is one of the top receiving tight ends in the league and is really more of a wide receiver as he lined up at WR 77% of the time last year. Could Bears GM Ryan Poles trade for Gesicki to give Justin Fields another reliable weapon after Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet? It’s unclear how much a Gesicki trade would cost, but it’s been guessed around a 3rd or 4th round NFL Draft pick.
- Bears signing Will Fuller or Eric Fisher in NFL Free Agency? Bleacher Report broke down some of the top unsigned NFL free agents and they linked the Bears to both Fuller and Fisher as players that could help out Chicago’s offense. The Bears WR depth chart is lacking after Darnell Mooney and Harrison believes that Fuller could be a viable option despite his injury history. Harrison shoots down the idea of signing Fisher as Braxton Jones looks comfortable at left tackle and Riley Reiff is ready to step in if needed.
- Teven Jenkins starting Week 1 at right guard? ESPN NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler says the Bears have been happy with Jenkins’ play the past couple of weeks and that he “might’ve found a home at guard.”
