Summary:
At the bottom of this list, we have Capricorns.
Capricorns are the 10th sign of the 12 zodiacs, with its governing period from December 22nd to January 19th. Did you know Capricorn is the Latin term for "two-horned goat"?

Next to follow up is Leo.
Leo, meaning lion in Latin, is the 5th sign of the zodiac. The governing period of Leo starts on July 23 and ends on August 22. Leos are often linked with the lion slain by Hercules.

Next, we move on to Sagittarius.
Governing the period from November 22nd to December 21st, in third place, we have Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the 9th zodiac and is represented by the mythological centaur, shooting a bow and arrow or sometimes just by a drawn crossbow.

Coming in second, we have Aries.
Aries is the 1st of the 12 Zodiac Signs and is the second rarest Zodiac Sign. Aries, a Latin term for Ram, is, as you guessed it, represented by a ram. Its governing period is from March 21st to April 19th and also happens to fall during the spring season.

Now, the rarest zodiac sign we have (Que drum roll)... Aquarius!
As the 11th Zodiac sign Aquarius rules the period from January 20th to February 18th because January and February have the least number of birthdays; this brings Aquarius to the top of this list.

The Strange case of Ophiuchus
According to most, there are 12 astrological zodiac signs based on the 12 constellations visible in the night sky. Recently, NASA discovered a 13th constellation called Ophiuchus in 2016, begging the question, Did NASA discover a new Zodiac sign?
