WHAT IF THE OUTSIDER IS THE ONE TO REINVENTS YOUR INDUSTRY?
AMAZON, iTunes, Netflix NONE OF THESE WERE LEADERS OF THE INDUSTRY THEY NOW DOMINATE.

If you are a leader in your industry look around and ask yourself the question: What industry outsider has proposed ideas which seem to make sense with a few tweaks? Now, look for opportunities to partner with them!

It has been true of almost every major innovation, from Henry Ford and the automobile assembly line, to Ray Crock and the franchise model which shifted the fast food market.

Certain elements will always dominate innovation in any business or industry:
Speed to market.
Mastered processes.
Refined customer need alignment.
Raw goods to final product systemization.
Competitive pricing.
Market positioning.
Ruthless but respectful promotion.

However, thinking outside the box and roaming the box altogether offers greater opportunity to growth than simply stretching the existing model.

Try something new. Ask someone who is a thinker and knows nothing of your business. The less they know, the more challenging their questions will be. Chances are, there is some process, system, “way of doing things” which hasn’t been questioned in decades, maybe even generations.

An outsider, like a good coach, can ask you those irritating questions such as “WHY do you still do it that way?”

If you will take the time to consider the answer and look for other ways to do the same thing, you might stumble on the next 2 cent million dollar idea,.
