Arthur was just six years old when he died after suffering horrific assaults at the hands of his father and his father's partner. He sustained an unsurvivable brain injury, on June 16, 2020 while he was with his dad's partner, Emma, in her home in Cranmore Road, Solihull, West Midlands. The horrific case of Arthur Labinjo-Hughes is raising serious questions about how his assaults went undetected for so long. Did authorities fail in their duty to protect him? Or did lockdown prevent them from saving him? In the space of just 18 months, Arthur went from a bright and bubbly boy, to a weak and emaciated one, petrified for his life.
