TEACH THEM WHAT THEY ENJOY STUDYING - EDUCATIONAL REVOLUTION? by J Loren Norris

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO STUDY? WHAT DO YOU ENJOY LEARNING?

When you consider the process of learning, the purpose of education and the structure of teaching, you will realize it has been purposed for the last century with a specific goal. The out put is the focus, not the development of the learner or the expression of the child/ student.

If you were to ask your self or your children WHAT DO YOU WANT TO LEARN? Or WHAT DO YOU ENJOY STUDYING? What sort of education would you craft your curriculum around? How would you teach that content? What delivery would you use to confer that information?

In this season of transition and transformation, how should we reconsider the process, purpose and paths of education? (Educo [latin] - to draw from within). Do we draw from within the talents and gifts of individuals? Do we expose young children to opportunities to become the WHO they were crafted to be? Do we shove them all into the same sausage grinder and expect to measure performance based on outcome only?

Take this time to LEAD THEM THE WAY THEY WERE MADE - don’t make them into something they were not intended to be and called it education.
