The American Soldier Solo Show Trailer

The American Soldier solo show, written and performed by Douglas Taurel, is based on real events and actual letters written by veterans and their family members from the American Revolution through current day Afghanistan. It honors the experiences of veterans and their families and explores the internal struggles they face when returning home from combat.

The solo show has performed the play at the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, New York Federal Reserve Bank, Off-Broadway twice, American Legion's National headquarters, and countless theaters and art centers across the country for veterans and audiences.

It has been nominated for an Amnesty International Award and featured in the Huffington Post, The Washington Post, Military Times, and Time Out.
